  The law firm of Sanford Kahn, Ltd., was established in 1973 and consists of seven     attorneys, all of whom concentrate on Landlord/Tenant Law in Illinois.  They represent many Property Management firms, Housing Cooperatives, not-for-profit organizations, and individual landlords as their eviction attorneys, and are Corporate attorneys for several Housing Cooperatives in Cook and Lake Counties, Illinois.

The firm files over four hundred Forcible Entry and Detainer Actions per month for Residential, Commercial, and Industrial Properties, as well as Subsidized Properties in Cook, DuPage, Will, Lake, McHenry and Kankakee Counties, Illinois.

Sanford Kahn has lectured and written extensively on the subject of legal problems confronting Property Managers and their solutions and has drafted several leases that are extensively used in the City of Chicago, as well as in the State of Illinois.  The members of the law firm also periodically make presentations to Management Companies and Trade Associations on various issues concerning Landlord/Tenant law and procedure.

The attorneys at Sanford Kahn, Ltd. also have extensive knowledge regarding the Chicago Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance and have successfully defended lawsuits arising out of the Ordinance, including cases where tenants have sued landlords and property owners for damages regarding issues concerning their security deposit.

Sanford Kahn periodically issues a Memorandums to the firm's clients concerning recent developments in the law and procedure.

The law firm is very knowledgeable on the Federal Rules and Regulations relating to Landlord/Tenant Relations, and have successfully handled appeals before the Illinois Appellate Court and the Supreme Court of the State of Illinois.  The firm also represents various Chicago Housing Authority Properties in eviction actions for both non-payment of rent and for material non-compliance with the lease.
